apple cranberry shake

It’s a lazy, lazy Sunday afternoon. You know what’s nice on an afternoon like this? A cool fruit shake. Here’s what you’ll need:

1 medium sized red apple, sliced
1/4 cup cranberry juice cocktail
3 tbsp. simple syrup*
8 ice cubes

Just put everything in a blender and after the all the ice cubes have been fully crushed, pour mixture into a tall glass, sip with an elbow straw and enjoy. If you don’t like cranberry just substitute it with water. I hope you’ll try this refreshing drink and get your daily dose of vitamin C. I’m enjoying a glass as I am writing this. :)

*Simple syrup is so easy to make. You can use this to add sweetness and volume to your favorite drinks, (even the alcoholic ones). I suggest you make a large batch, place it in a sealed bottle and store it in the fridge. See recipe below:

Boil one part water and dissolve 2 parts sugar in it. Once the sugar is dissolved completely, remove the pan from the heat. Allow to cool completely and bottle.

Do you have a recipe for cool and natural grape juice? The one with natural grape fruit and leaves. :)

Yep, I know apple shake’s your fave and you’re not too fond of cran juice. But you do like my choco banana smoothie too, right? :)

Hey maybe I’ll post the recipe for that. What do you think?

Grape juice with leaves? Have you tried it? Wouldn’t that taste a bit funny? I’m not sure if grape leaves are available locally.I was about to try grape shake the other day because I found grapes in the fridge. Then I also found out they’re not seedless and I’m too lazy to remove the seeds so I ended up with no grape shake at all.

Maybe I’ll post a recipe like, lemme see, since you seem fond of leaves, how about mint? Minty grape shake? How about that, huh? :)

Yeah, yeah, I would love to try that ‘minty’ stuff. Anyway, you can also try avocado leaves. The extract tastes like tea, no kidding. My mom gave it to me when I was still in elementary. Wanna try? :)

I’ll post the recipe for minty grape shake as soon as I tried it. As for your avocado leaves juice (?), maybe you could post the recipe here? :D

    Michael:
