Attitude of gratitude
Being aware of the things that we are grateful for manifests a feeling of contentment that can help strengthen our body and soul.
When I got sick, I felt sorry for myself at first. But then I saw all the people who care for me, that feeling of self-pity turned into a feeling of gratitude. I started to think positive that I’ll get better and that all my lab test results will turn out fine and I’m not suffering from any type of serious illness. True enough I recovered pretty quickly, I just have a medication to maintain and a modified diet. Right now, I feel better than ever. I feel I’m healthier and happier.
They say that an “attitude of gratitude” is a good health choice. Being grateful increases our level of optimism thus we became happier. We should never underestimate the power of gratitude, for gratitude attracts what we want. Remember my post about The Secret? The Law of Attraction says that we will attract into our life the things we think about and focus on. Wouldn’t you want more of what you are thankful for? When you are grateful for the blessings in your life, you tend to focus on them thus you subconsciously attract more of these.
Tonight as you get ready for bed, focus on at least 3 events of the day which you are thankful for. These can be just small events like a nice lunch or a safe commute from work. As I’ve mentioned before try not to forget the everyday benefits of being alive. A sense of peace and contentment will help empower you as a person.
Happy weekend everybody.
