One Day Blog Silence is an initiative asking bloggers to join a day of silence on April 30 in honor of the victims of the recent Virginia Tech school shootings.
People have mixed reaction regarding this project. Some say silence doesn’t really do anything, that it’s just an empty gesture, they rather just help by sending funds or extending some sort of physical help. Others see it as a day to be united in prayer and remember the victims. (more…)

When I first watched Prison Break on TV, I became curious on how the show would progress and how it will keep its viewers interested with such a plot. I watched the first few episodes but then I wasn’t able to continue because I always come home late. Then I forgot all about it.
A couple of months ago, Ali brought home a Prison Break DVDs that he borrowed from a friend. We watched it with my brother sometimes after work and we have Prison Break marathons during weekends. We all got kinda hooked. (more…)

Today is Good Friday. We visited 15 churches in Batangas, Laguna and Quezon. We also joined a religious procession organized by our parish. I’m not really a religious person, I won’t be talking about reflection, renewed spirit and all that. But spending time and praying with my family this Holy Week definitely made me feel blessed and good all over.

Yesterday’s Ozine Fest was a little disappointing but it was still fun. Ali arrived at Megamall around 9:10 a.m. I got there about 20 minutes later. The place was already packed with people anticipating the event. There were cosplayers, manga fanatics, every otaku that you can think of and then there’s us. I think we can be classified as anime appreciators, not so much of a fanatic because there are a lot of other things about anime that we don’t know about. We like anime because we love the art. And sometimes the storyline is quite good too.
Around 9:40, the mall is still closed. We went to a nearby fast food restaurant to eat breakfast. We hurriedly eat our meals so that at 10 a.m. when the entrance to the mall opens, we’ll run. Why are we such in a hurry? Well, freebies and anime loot bags await the early birds. Not sure how many are at stake but we’re willing to take our chances. (more…)

Hi my name is Christine and I’m allergic.
Yep I’m allergic to some seafoods, peanuts, some fruits (mostly the yellow variety), to insects, sometimes to pollen, sometimes to chicken and most of the time to dust. I had an allergy skin test last year and found out I’m allergic to a dozen other things I don’t even know about. I hate it when it’s allergy season and to me it seems like it’s always allergy season since I live in the freshly polluted city of Makati *lol* (more…)

I was browsing for cosplay details a few weeks ago then I came across a banner in cosplay.ph’s site advertising the Ozine Fest ‘07. I didn’t know what it was but it stirred my interest because it says there that I could win a Nintendo Wii. So I clicked it. I found out that this will be the third Ozine Fest in the Philippines and it will be held on April 1 at the SM Megatrade Hall. Ozine Fest is Otakuzine Anime Magazine’s annual event which features anime trivia, art contest, cosplay competition, eating contest (?!), karaoke contest, SD Gundam kit competition and speed drawing contest.
