Ozine Fest ‘07

11 March 2007

I was browsing for cosplay details a few weeks ago then I came across a banner in cosplay.ph’s site advertising the Ozine Fest ‘07. I didn’t know what it was but it stirred my interest because it says there that I could win a Nintendo Wii. So I clicked it. I found out that this will be the third Ozine Fest in the Philippines and it will be held on April 1 at the SM Megatrade Hall. Ozine Fest is Otakuzine Anime Magazine’s annual event which features anime trivia, art contest, cosplay competition, eating contest (?!), karaoke contest, SD Gundam kit competition and speed drawing contest. cosplay!

22 February 2007

Part of my fascination with anime are the wonderful costumes of the characters. I sometimes even wonder if I would look good in them. I heard that in some countries there are meet-ups and people dress in their favorite costume but I wasn’t familiar with cosplay. After that, cosplay seemed to be everywhere - in the Net, television, video game launches and magazines. (more…)

anime! yay!

As I was browsing my favorite sites a while ago, Ali sent me an sms telling me that Solty Rei is up on Animax. So i hurriedly got the remote and switched to it. I haven’t missed much yet, I guess. I’m not really familiar with Solty Rei, all I know is, the story evolves on a bounty hunter and an android. I searched the web for more info about it and I think it’s quite interesting. I just have to stay up until midnight because it has an 11:30-12mn time slot. I’m usually up during that time so it’s not a problem (so much for switching to a healthier lifestyle).

My fascination with anime, as I recall started during my elementary-high school days. I remember watching Sailor Moon and her moon prism power, having early dinners so I could catch Samurai X (it was with AXN during that time) and of course how can I forget Yu Yu Hakusho, or Ghost Fighter (remember Eugene, Vincent, Alfred and Dennis *lol*) (more…)
