Love to sing? Check out singshot.com

I enjoy singing, though I’m not really good at it, I recently joined this online singing community over at SingShot.com. It’s where you can access a lot of songs and record your own versions. Kinda like having your own recording studio. At SingShot you can organize your recordings, communicate with other members and have a list of your favorites. You can even join contests.

I recorded a couple of songs a few days ago. Now don’t go looking for my account, though recordings can be made either public or private, I didn’t save mine. I just sampled a few tracks and that’s it. I still don’t have the guts to showcase my singing prowess to the world. Lol. There’s an “I sound like” portion there in the personal profile which I intentionally left blank. I was thinking that it would not be best if I wrote that I sound like a kitten writhing in pain when I sing. My mom is a voice teacher so she really knows how to sing properly and all. As for me, my voice is quite plain and I sometimes sound like a 10-year-old kid but I guess I can carry a tune. Well maybe, just maybe, I’ll record a song or two and let you listen to it. I just hope you won’t hate me after that and not visit IdioXINEcrasies anymore. Lol.

Right now, you can be a SingShot member for free. It’s still in beta. (What else isn’t? Everything these days is in beta, oh well that’s another story) Maybe sooner or later they will sell recorded songs to the users or something. I guess aside from advertisements, they can make money from that venture. The quality of the recording is quite okay so maybe people will be interested to buy their recordings. Or maybe they’ll come up with a premium account for paying users.

If you’re a singing enthusiast or just looking for another time waster, check out SingShot. It’s fun to listen how you sound like. You just need a mic and you’re good to go. If you want to have your listeners watch you while you’re belting out a number, then turn on that webcam. Who knows, you could be the next singing sensation. Or not.

Thanks for adding me in your community. I appreciate it.
Music does make my world too. I love singing and I can sing pretty well but contests no. I love love songs but I do hope you have organ pieces too which I do play very well.

don’t be modest ney. i’ve heard you sing and you sounded great especially with hillary duff’s or avril lavigne’s songs. *smiles*

@Friday’s Child: Thanks for visiting. If ever you sign up at SingShot, send us a link to your recordings :)

@Ali: Sweetie, I don’t know any song by Hillary Duff. Sheesh. This is embarrassing. Lol. I like some of Avril’s songs before, you know the teenage angst-ridden ones. Now she sounds too pop for my liking.

I prefer http://www.karaokeplay.com because that site seems to be easier to record songs. Singshot is ok too, but it’s kinda hard to figure everything out.
