Master Cleanse
I’m actually contemplating whether I’ll start the Master Cleanse or not. I came across this detox diet in fake Steve’s site and I thought I could use some detoxification myself and even lose weight. The only problem is I’m not sure if I can stick with it. I haven’t actually finished any type of diet in my whole life. I tried the South Beach, Atkins, the Zone, oatmeal diet and lasted for just a few days then I’m back to eating junk.
Since I don’t really cook, we dine out most of the time. Cheeseburgers, French fries, fried chicken, fish and chips, soda and processed foods are everyday staples. I feel like giving my body a break from eating all those unhealthy foods. I don’t want to be admitted to the hospital again because of my unhealthy lifestyle. But when I think about diet or exercise, I feel really enthusiastic at first then my enthusiasm fizzles out after a few days because of obscure reasons or mostly stupid alibis. I haven’t really decided whether I’m taking the plunge and push myself a little further to complete this 10-day cleansing activity.
A lot of people swear by this diet but I’ll research about it a little more before I try it. I guess I’ll prepare myself for this. I mean not eating any type of solid food for 10 days is really difficult especially for a carnivore/ultimate snacker like me. It will just be lemonade with cayenne pepper (I wonder how it tastes like) and laxatives for 10 days. Oh man. Just the thought of not having to eat anything makes me want to cringe. But I have to be positive about this. I have to think about the health benefits that it will bring. They say the Master Cleanse can help remove the built up waste in your body. Maybe that’s what I need, if I cleanse from within, I’ll be healthier and more energized.
If ever I try this detox diet, I just hope I wouldn’t be grumpier than usual. Lol. In preparation for the Master Cleanse, I’m thinking, should I binge eat since I won’t be touching food for 10 days or should I eat less than usual so my body will easily adjust to it? Hmmm…I guess I’ll eat less but I would want to have some cheesecake and sushi first before I start the cleanse.

Cuz, 10 days ba dapat yan? I know some coworkers and friends who did it for the weekend, some failed and some were able to do it. The downside of that is… you lose the weight when you don’t eat but when you eat again, you can easily gain weight but it still might be a good cleansing process. Just don’t do it for 10 days coz you will also feel weak and grumpy.
Hey cuz. Thanks for the reminder. I decided to try it out. According to the book I read, to obtain best results, I should do the cleanse for a minimum of 10 days. I’m not really after the weight loss benefit of the cleanse but more on the detoxification. Of course I’ll be glad if ever I lose my excess pounds.I just hope I can keep them off.
