Don Bosco Pugad

Remember my Birthday Wishlist post? People have been asking me about it and I’m really happy that they are interested to support me with this project. As I’ve mentioned before, Don Bosco Pugad will be the recipient of whatever amount I’ll be able to gather. I chose Don Bosco because I used to participate in their outreach programs and I believe in their mission to help street children by taking them to a more suitable environment and educating them. You may learn more about their programs by visiting their website.

If you want to make a donation through this site, you may click on the Make A Donation button on your left and you may also leave a message if you want to. I’ll make sure it reaches the foundation and I’ll also send you receipts from Don Bosco. You may also give cash or check donations, either through me or deposit it directly to Don Bosco Pugad bank accounts.

Prison Break’s Wentworth Miller

Prison Break has taken yet another twist now that they’re taking Michael out of SONA. I know some of its viewers do not have the same interest in the show as they did during the first two seasons because the stories are getting more absurd and there’s the perpetual entanglement of everybody to the Company. Well, if they define everything, the show ends, right? Maybe they could just finish the story where Michael will suddenly wake up and it was all just a bad dream. Lol.

Speaking of Michael, I think Wentworth is indeed doing a good job portraying this role as this smart and tough prison inmate. There are gay rumours about him which may or may not affect the female viewership of Prison break. As for me, I was a little bothered about it at first, but I don’t really care. He’s a good actor and he’s still hot.

Here’s a video of Wentworth Miller taken from an old TV show, Popular. Shaking his head with an attitude and snapping his fingers like that, hilarious!

Here’s another one. This video of Mariah Carey is a proof that Wentworth’s a hottie.

Beowulf in 3D

I know I studied Beowulf back in high school but I don’t really remember much of it. Well I guess the movie will help enlighten me a bit about this epic poem if it sticks to the original. Even if it doesn’t, I don’t really mind, I’m sure it will just be equally entertaining. Tomorrow Beowulf will open in a lot of theaters in the metro including the SM IMAX. So if you want to watch it in 3D, visit the SM IMAX theaters.

You may check the IMAX schedule here.

Reserving a ticket via

(a) email to imax@smcinema.com,
(b) fax at (02) 556 0547 or
(c) telephone numbers (02) 556-IMAX (4629) or 556-0242

is pretty useless if you can’t go to the IMAX ticket booths at SM Mall of Asia three (3) days before your preferred show time. In their website, I didn’t find a notice saying that reserved tickets must be paid 3 days in advance. I found out about it when I called 556-IMAX. Oh well…

Edit:
When I called SM IMAX again, they told me I may pay at any SM branch for reserved tickets.

Birthday wishlist

In less than 3 weeks, I’ll be celebrating my birthday. At first I thought of having a party to celebrate my big day. But then I decided on having just a small birthday lunch here at the office and then a dinner for my family and close friends. The money for my party will be given to help send a less fortunate kid to school. I’ll be donating the money to the Don Bosco Salesian Missions. I’m hoping I could raise more by asking help from you. In exchange for an ad space on the front page of my website, I hope you’ll donate money via PayPal. Your ad will be posted for an entire month. I’m not really earning money from this site and posting an ad here doesn’t guarantee anything, but hey, it’s for a good cause. If you don’t want the links and still want to donate, you can do that too.

If you’re interested, just send me an email and tell me about your link and how much you are going to donate for it. Offline donations are also accepted just drop me a line and see what we can work out. Of course it wouldn’t hurt if you’ll also send me gifts for my birthday, (like that Tokidoki Moofia Set or that Star Wars Force FX Lightsaber. *wink* Lol.) Thanks in advance, really appreciate your kindness.

Oh noes, it’s Monday!

Yeah, after a long weekend, tomorrow’s Monday again. But I dunno, I’m actually looking forward to going to office tomorrow. Not looking forward to work but to put my new cute capsule toy on my desk. Remember my messy desk? Well, I added a couple of things to it and maybe put in a few more soon. There were kids in our office Halloween party and they just love the stuff on my desk. Monday is my least favorite day of the week. But since it’s my birth month (yay!) I want to start my week right and maybe come to the office in time everyday for the whole month. Read on »

Stardust 2007

After more than a week of prodding and telling me how good Neil Gaiman’s novels were, I agreed to watch Stardust with Ali. And I’m glad I did. I thought it would be something like Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter adventure type film. Personally, I don’t really like that genre. Good thing Stardust turned out to be enchantingly wonderful with just the right amount of sweetness. I can even watch it again and still be entertained as I did the first time. Read on »

October 19 - A birthday and a blast

Today is my grandfather’s birthday. Happy birthday Tatay! We wish you better health.

But today is also a day of tragedy here in Makati. There was an explosion in one of the malls that killed at least 8 people and injured more than a hundred. I know that tragedy and disasters happen everyday in different places but this one hits hard because my family and loved ones could have been the victims since we live near and frequent the area. My mom was even there last night to get last minute gift items for a friend.

Understanding breast cancer

As part of my contribution to the Breast Cancer Awareness month, here are information to help you to be more aware of this disease. Personally, I don’t know much about breast cancer and this is also a good way for me to learn about it. Let’s start with the basics.

According to breastcancer.org, breast cancer is an uncontrolled growth of breast cells. Read on »

IdioXINEcrasies.com goes Pink for October

Last year, Matthew Oliphant started Pink for October and roughly 1,500 websites went pink (during the month of October) to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get people talking about breast cancer, and raise money for research.

It’s actually my first time to participate in this project. To show your support too, please visit the P4O site for more details.
