Vacations can help keep you healthy
There are times when you feel like you needed a little breathing room. Go ahead and do yourself a favor. Take that vacation. Now.
Vacations can help us improve our health, ease our tensions, reconnect with ourselves and even improve our creativity. Don’t think about work when you’re on a vacation. Let yourself get unplugged (literally and metaphorically) from your daily work routine.
I just had a seven-day vacation and I must say I feel really good! Sometimes we tend to forget to relax because of all the pressures in our lives. Stop. Recharge. Breathe.
Our recent trip to a resort in Quezon Province was a wonderful experience. I didn’t only spend time with my loved ones but I also let myself forget about my worries, saved myself from exhaustion and probably even improved my overall well-being. There weren’t too many people in the resort. Since I live in a very busy city, I really got to appreciate a little peace and quiet.
Tomorrow will be another work day. Stress levels will begin to fire up again. Some work environments are more stressful than others. But you can take your mini vacation even when you are at work. Use your coffee breaks wisely. I’m not saying you should slack off or anything like that. You can create your own controlled environment. Even if others are trying to get through your nerves, it’s still your choice if you’ll let them affect you. You can always get out of the kitchen if you can’t take the heat. Don’t let yourself get burned.
